Life with plastic is easy, convenient, and frankly all around brilliant- especially with managing kids. I’ve been to many kids parties where plastic cutlery and plates have been used- simply because it saves on washing up. Parents have been doing this in the knowledge that the plastic can be recycled and so a great alternative to washing up. We didn’t understand the environmental consequences then and the true cost of it.

However, with so many recent studies explaining how harmful plastic is to the environment, continuous usage doesn’t make sense anymore. According to research, in 2050, there will be more plastic than fish in the oceans. Heartbreaking isn’t it?

And, we’ve probably all seen videos of Sea Turtles with plastic stuck in their eyes or birds who have ingested plastic bags. It’s utterly heart breaking isn’t it?
